Sequencing
In art, we were asked to do a sequencing project. This means taking one topic and trying to create multiple pieces of artwork out of anything that we can find. Because I love photography so much, chose that as my subject, and specifically focused on my own photography. Of course, I had ideas in my mind, but I didn't know exactly how to approach the entire project.
My first project was a compilation of photos that I have taken in the past year and a half. I was very excited to see everything in black and white. Overall, it seemed like more of a crafty thing than a project, but I had fun doing it. My favorite part was telling Evan that he would on the board after I took their pictures. So cute!
The second was a little bit harder. I had seen many people at our HOIAC art show do a mixture of pencil and colored pencil in drawings, and I decided to take that idea and change it slightly. I was very excited about this project, and finished most of it quickly. I waited quite a while to do the very last square though. I'd have to say that my favorite picture is the cowboy boot!
My last project was very different. I had planned to do a camera lens mug, but after a week of hard work, it was fired incorrectly. Parts began to fall off before I could paint it, so I settled for something that could be finished more easily. I actually ended up enjoying it quite a bit. I think the coolest part about it is that this has two purposes, and I can now put pictures on it for display.
Striding for him,
