Homecoming Week

Homecoming Week: One of the few weeks of school where absolutely nothing gets done. Other weeks include the week prior to Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, and summer. Of course, this year is senior year, the year that everyone has to go all out. You have to show all of the younger students what they get to look forward to when they approach their senior year.
One wonderful thing is the ability to dress up and look like a complete fool, and no one laughs at you. The weeks before are spent searching for the materials and different props that are necessary to make a costume memorable and, well, just great.

My friends and I had everything planned out weeks in advance, knowing exactly what we wanted to do. One thing that we were a little unsure about was how we were going to make certain things work. It's one thing if you are going to a costume party where everyone stays in costume the entire night, but at school, you have to figure out a way to sit down in a desk.

Dress Days:

Monday: Class Color Day
Tuesday: -Er Day
Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday
Thursday: Twin Day/Things that Go Together
Friday: Black Out

We managed to come up with suspenders for one outfit so that we could take them off whenever we sat down. It was a quick and easy way to be able to put them on for pictures. Of course, after going shopping and spending a lot of money, we realized that we could probably find a lot of the supplies at home, and ended up having to take an extra trip to return many things. (I still have to do this).

All in all, it was a good week. We won the game against the Roadrunners! The dance afterwards went well, and a lot of my friends were crowned royalty at Pride Night. It's always a wonderful feeling to be striding for him
