Photo Summer: Days 9-18

Day 9: June 5th, 2013

Dad told us that we needed to get a little bit more exercise, so Kirk and I went out to the wildlife refuge for a little hike/walk. Of course, I took my camera and took some great pictures of Kirk. He's such a cutie. When we were further down into the woods, I attempted to go down near the creek, but slipped and my flip flop broke! Oh well! Next, Jenna Leland, one of my best friends from the younger years, came over and taught me a little bit more about PhotoShop. I was so thankful for her help.

Day 10: June 6th, 2013

I did my first successful french braid since cutting 12 inches off of my hair. Then  I had the pleasure of ticket
taking.

Day 11: June 7th, 2013

I had to ticket take all day. It was decent. Mommy brought me a great lunch with RASPBERRIES! I also got to spend some much needed time with God reading my bible.

Day 12: June 8th, 2013

Today was a little bit more busy. Erick and I picked up his truck after it got fixed. Later we went to his cousin's graduation party and to Hu Hot. We had a lovely chaperone, LUKE! Afterwards we got to pick up Peter from the airport.

Day 13: June 9th, 2013

College began to feel real today as I went to orientation. It was good to spend time with a bunch of my future classmates, although some of them were a little too hyped up for my taste. At the end of the night, we did karaoke with our orientation group (those who have the same major as me). Oh, and I changed my major to journalism!

Day 14: June 10th, 2013

We made our schedules for next year! Things are starting to become real! It's a little frustrating because there is such a large amount of time in between orientation and move-in, but the time will go by quickly! While we made our schedules, one of the Drake journalism professors gave each one of us a floppy disk that we are supposed to return on graduation day. On the way home, Dad and I stopped at some craft stores! So much fun for me. Maggie and I made potato
stamp scarves later in the evening and then went over to the Harms' house for games.

Day 15: June 11th, 2013

Today I learned that we had to bottle feed the puppies. It is so depressing that Meg can't feed them or do anything about it. The Houlette girls came to visit the little puppies. We also had to go to the ISU vet and the lady acted like none of us could possibly be old enough to drive. I was slightly offended! Oh, and to top off the day, the car I was driving went psychotic!

Day 16: June 12th, 2013

Mom and Dad headed to Florida to visit my grandparents today. I went with Grandpa Johnson to take them to the airport. 3:00 A.M. Sooooo exciting.I actually took a picture of the time on my watch with my phone, but since it isn't a smart phone, and I can't send pictures yet, it is stuck there. I suppose I will try eventually to get it off and onto something different. The girls and I visited the coffee shop, played a fun game, and then went to Ames to get craft supplies. I could definitely spend more time in Hobby Lobby.

Day 17: June 13th, 2013

This day was what I would like to call the PINTEREST DAY. The girls and I had a lot of fun trying out new and exciting things. It all started with a spray concoction that was supposed to straighten curly hair without heat damage. That did not work. Next, Maggie and Lauren joined us in making pretzels, tie dying shirts, and making sidewalk chalk paint. It was also fun to take pictures of the puppies. We brought some of them out of their natural habitat and are planning on making an album titled "Puppies Where They Shouldn't Be".

Day 18: June 14th, 2013

Today was a really good day. Sierra and I went shopping in Ames and had a date at Panera Bread. Of course, we went to The Loft and found some great bargains. I had so much fun with her. I also had a gift card to spend, so we went to Stam and tried the gelato. It was soooooo gooood! Later, Erick and I hung out and played games with my grandparents. We talked a lot which was much needed.
