My Last Day of Freedom
Okay, so this may be a wee bit of an overstatement, but today was the last weekday of summer for 2012. It made me slightly sad, knowing that this year there will be no more redos. I can't hold back and save things for another year. The fact is, I'm a senior, and this time next year I will be heading off to college. In some ways that frightens me, but in others I am totally ready to start a new chapter of my life.
Anyway, on this lovely day I decided that I was going to be extremely lazy. Although I actually woke up at around seven, I managed to emerge from underneath my covers at 11:00. I couldn't help myself! After a going to bed late last night, and having a bad dream, I wanted to stay in my bed for as long as possible. To add to this "problem", my mind decided to enter into a wonderful dream. You know, the type where you stay in bed for awhile just so you can finish it the way you think it should end. Let me tell ya, when I got up, I looked goooooood.
Figuring I needed to make up for sleeping half the day away, I got up and ran, ate lunch, but then found myself sitting on the couch watching tv with my parents. Later I headed to Ames to get some supplies for a few....back to school gifts. Stuff for the girls, my boyfrannn, and of course the locker buddy. I have a feeling we will be going through a lot of pencils and gum.

day finished up with watching the cross country time trial and the football season opener vs. CMB. During the time trial, I biked around and took pictures of the runners with my camera. That was pretty interesting, considering I had a 600 dollar camera in one hand, and was trying to steer with the other. I suppose my childhood days of learning to ride with no hands paid off. Unfortunately, our team lost the game, but I did enjoy hanging out with Erick, and all of the friends I háven't (or even those I have) seen in awhile. Today was a good day. I'm going to keep striding for him.
