Photography - Lauren

This past Sunday I had the opportunity to take pictures of one of my great friends, Lauren. :) She is such an absolutely beautiful girl. Like me, she shares the same interests of photography and music. Although I have not take MY senior pictures yet, the photos  I captured of Lauren mimicked the idea of what I want to display in the photos of myself this year. My favorite part was taking the pictures around her home. This way I was able to show a little of her background as a person, while keeping a setting that people would be familiar with.

It's something that I have never experienced. She, unlike me, lives near the country, out of town. Her property is surrounded by cornfields. It was fun to recreate some images from Pinterest, as well as experiment with my own ideas and poses. Later, I was able to take her to some of my favorite spots outside. This way, I gave her ideas of where she could also take pictures of her own subjects right around where we live. That was probably the best part. The entire time I felt as though she understood exactly what I meant whenever  I spoke in more "technical" terms. We were able to put our heads together throughout the entire session to make some great portraits.
It was interesting, because she was the very first person that I have done absolutely NO editing on. Most of the pictures were exactly what they looked like on the screen. Other than the small changes from color to black and white or sepia, the pictures stayed the same. The beauty of this friendship is that she'll be able to take some of my pictures. I cannot wait for that! But, until then, I will keep striding for him.
