Health Resolutions I Should Be Making

A key part of my weekly routine has been doing workouts for my body. Fitness has been important over the years for my family, but it became evident that I wasn't doing as much as I should be when I got back from college and felt like a major slacker.

As a part of the new year, new me, I made a long list of goals that I am attempting to keep (one of them being this blog post). As I happened upon this while I was getting my haircut before going back to school, I realized that there were still some important fitness resolutions that I still need to make. Hopefully these will help me get into a better shape, and improve my overall health.

Now, one point that the author makes is to go to bed and wake up at the same time each day. With an irregular college schedule, it has been hard for me to wake up at the same time, but I am going to make it a goal to wake up at 7 and go to bed before midnight. I know that this isn't exactly realistic, because things get in the way, but it is a goal!

I also thought that the comment about reading on the elliptical was important. There have been times in the past where I have wanted to check off the boxes of exercise and schoolwork, so I have brought textbooks to the gym with me. Unfortunately, I am not reaching my full potential if I can read the lines well while working out.

Another thing that I do not do nearly enough is drink water. It is important for me to do this, but most of the time I prefer to drink pop or milk instead of chugging a bottle of H2O. Along with this, I never would have expected there to be a difference between eating at a table vs. eating on-the-go. As an end to this post, I believe that we all have things that we can improve on, and these are just 15 ideas out of many that you could begin to do to improve your health and encourage a stronger body.
